Don James, Webmaster

  Christmas Party - December 19, 2007

The Rod Bender's pot-luck dinners are famous.  The food was on the presentation tables and the line of Benders

with plates went to the end of the building and around the corner.  The room got very quiet then while the ham

and turkey and all variety of side dishes were being consumed.

Then there were the deserts: Pies and cakes and cookies and brownies and more.

Awards presented to: Marciavee Cossette, Cassie Eisenhour and Judy James

Awards presented to: Bev Hokanson, Les Jelinek and Gene Nickolauson

Awards to:  Don Rainey, Ken Yount, and Dave Hillard

All of these awards were for service to the club in various functions and donations of time.

A special plaque was presented to Don James for the website design and then a quilt was given to him

for generating the "2007 Rod Benders History Document"  The quilt has a picture of each of the cruise events

the club went on this year and was custom designed and fabricated/built/sewn by Beverly Hokanson.

Then the ballots were passed out so that voting could proceed for election of the slate of officers for 2008

Denise is beginning to tally the votes when some unidentified person (Les) tries to influence the count.

While the votes are counted, the Chinese Auction of gifts is taking place. Ken is the Auctioneer and

mentions all the gifts that are still in-play with some urging for trading and dealing.

The picture above is everyone holding up the gift that they ended up with.

The elected officers to lead the Rod Benders in 2008 are: Gene Andrews, Vice President; Ike Eisenhour, President;

Diane Eisenhour, Treasurer; Denise Crichton, Secretaty; and Don James, Cruise Director.

On the right is our out going President, Mark Baker, showing his displeasure at not being president for one more year.

He is wearing his Elf hat prize and is Yelling Yea! and Who-Rah and Yippee!

Marciavee bids us all Merry Christmas and good wishes as this wonderful evening comes to a close.
