Don James: Web Master

4th of July, 2008  in Troy, MT

It.s 8:45AM and the Rod Benders Cruise Director receives final directions from several members of the group so we will arrive in Troy, MT (not north to Alaska)

We do arrive in Troy and park with a sea of collector cars in the parade line-up area.

Some last minute polish and shine and we are ready.  The Army is here and many fire trucks and floats and convertibles with Royalty.

Bob Hokanson in the Tiger,  leads the Rod Bender contingent to Main street for the parade.  Both sides of the street (Federal Hi-way Route 2) are lined with people from everywhere and all the kids have bags to gather the candy we throw.  This  4th of July parade in Troy is a true "Happening"!

Parked in the Park - The Rod Benders line up the cars and set up camp under the two pop-ups, ready to enjoy the day.

During this pleasant afternoon, there is food to be eaten, things to buy and decisions to make - so we do all of that stuff.

At the Troy Show and Shine, no judging takes place and it is a very relaxing time to just enjoy all the different cars that are here

and see what unique things that people do to their special ride.

This group of cars show above, is a collection of my choices for possible winners of the car which could win the Best-in-the-Park" award.

I'll leave it to the viewers to make their choice.  Email me with your votes at  IdahoRodbenders@aol.com
