Decorating the Rod Bender's Tree for the Festival of Trees

Our tree is done. The theme for our tree entry is Dreamin'
The decorating crew: Marciavee, Bev, Diane, Judy & Don J, and shown in later shots; Don R, and Nita.
The beginning; The lights must go on first, all 1400 of them, and who better for this task? - Don & Don.
Judy, Bev & Nita prepare the ornaments and packages.
Judy puts on the last ornament and then declares that we are finished !
Our tree was given the "Design" Award and was auctioned off for $750 during the Gala on Saturday night.
The auction proceeds go the the Fry Foundation for the benefit of the Bonners Ferry Hospital.
Then, on Sunday the "tear down" commenced. The entire interior of Memorial Hall
had been decorated; At least 20 treesand many more wreaths needed to be wrapped
for delivery to the winning bidders and then the decorations on the walls and ceiling must
be removed and packed for next year's festivities,. Each year, many Rod Bender Car Club
members give up a big portion of their time on Sunday to help with this mammoth undertaking.
This year the crew consisted of:Bev Hokanson, Nita & Dave Hilliard, Ike Eisenhour,
Marciavee Cossette, Les Jelinek, Mark Baker, Dale Hire,
Gene & Pat Andrews, and Don & Judy James.
It was hard work, but we all had fun doing it.
