It's 10:30 Saturday morning and we gather together at the Visitor Center parking lot for our annual cruise to Priest River.
This cruise is scheduled for the 3rd Saturday in October and the scenery in North Idaho is beautiful at this time of the year.
Earlier this day there was some rain, but the Benders and friends are here and ready to go.
The rain is gone and we are treated to a beautiful day

We are greeted in the parking lot of the Burger Express by members of the Asphalt Angels handing out free-lunch-coupons.
Awesome!
The lunch line stays full and the burgers, fries, rings and malts just keep coming.
We all gather together and re-live stories and cruises of this past summer. No one can believe that summer is over.
This day has been a "10" and we vow to get a together-cruise somewhere next year. (Plans are already underway)
During our drive home we reflect on the friendship given to us by our hosts, the Asphalt Angels Car Club.
It is such meetings that make us realize just how fortunate we are to live in an area where such things happen.
The Rod Benders say "thank you Angels", for a spectacular day!
