August 16, 2008 - Flower Power in Libby Montana

Close your eyes and imagine that you are back in the 60's......but wait, you are in Libby Montana and you don't have to close your eyes.

It is the 60's and there are Hippies with their peace mobile and a Flower Girl in all her grace.

The Rod Bender Crew enjoys the wait for breakfast in air conditioned comfort at the Libby Cafe. (it's 99 outside)

Our 3 pop-ups provide the shade for the whole crew.  Judy teaches Alec a new game with dice.  (Judy keeps score)

4 of the Rod Benders' cars are shown above. Denise's Studebaker cleans up well, Paul's Ford gleams in the sun, Don's Chevelle looks angry-"bad"

and Larry's 57 is eye candy for car guys - and the first place Sports Car Trophy goes to...........

Bob & Bev Hokanson's Sunbeam Tiger!  Congratulations!

There were 265 registered cars at this years Car Show in Libby.  This is the biggest show yet completely filling Minneral Avenue.

A select few are shown below.

It was nice to get together with friends from other clubs and keep those important communication links still intact.

The annual Libby Show provides the place and the Igniters are wonderful hosts.

The Rod Benders say Thanks for this day in the sun!
